Novel Mechanism for Negatively Regulating Rho - Kinase ( ROCK ) Signaling through Coronin 1 B in Neuregulin 1 ( NRG - 1 ) induced Tumor Cell Motility ”

چکیده
Background: Negative regulatory mechanisms of ROCK signaling are poorly understood. We have discovered a novel mechanism to attenuate ROCK signaling. Results: Coronin1B is a novel binding partner of ROCK2 that inhibits ROCK signaling to myosin. Conclusion: Coronin1B regulates ROCK by a novel signal attenuation mechanism. Significance: Coronin1B attenuation of ROCK signaling is associated with NRG-1 induced tumor cell motility.

Protective role of neuregulin-1 toward doxorubicin-induced myocardial toxicity.
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of the rat neuregulin-1 (NRG-1) protein in reducing doxorubicin (DOX)-induced myocardial toxicity and its underlying mechanism. The prokaryotic expression of the NRG-1 protein and the CCK8-determined activity of rat primary myocardial cells were evaluated under different DOX concentrations. Myocardial cells were divided into three groups: the co...

The proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells is one of the leading causes of liver cancer mortality in humans. The inhibiting effects of matrine on HCC cell proliferation have been studied, but the mechanism of that inhibition has not been fully elucidated. Since, apoptosis plays an important role in HCC cell proliferation. We examined the apoptosis-inducing effect of matrine on tu...

Rho/ROCK signaling and caveolin-1 (Cav1) are implicated in tumor cell migration and metastasis; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain poorly defined. Cav1 was found here to be an independent predictor of decreased survival in breast and rectal cancer and significantly associated with the presence of distant metastasis for colon cancer patients. Rho/ROCK signaling promotes tumor ce...
متن کاملFilGAP, a Rho/Rho-associated protein kinase–regulated GTPase-activating protein for Rac, controls tumor cell migration
Tumor cells exhibit two interconvertible modes of cell motility referred to as mesenchymal and amoeboid migration. Mesenchymal mode is characterized by elongated morphology that requires high GTPase Rac activation, whereas amoeboid mode is dependent on actomyosin contractility induced by Rho/Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) signaling. While elongated morphology is driven by Rac-induced prot...
